ISSOL® Square

Maximum energy efficiency without compromising on design. ISSOL® Square seamlessly integrates high-performance solar cells into a clean grid pattern, offering fully adjustable transparency for skylights and façades.

ISSOL® Square Transparent BIPV Module

Light, Shade & Energy

ISSOL® Square is the definitive solution for overhead glazing and curtain walls where natural light is essential. By adjusting the spacing between the solar cells, architects can dial in the exact transparency level needed (from 0% to 100%).

This active glass acts as a solar shading device (reducing cooling loads) while generating clean energy, turning atriums and canopies into functional assets.

Power Output ~150 Wp/m²
Transparency 0% – 100%

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I adjust the transparency level?
Yes. By varying the distance between the solar cells, we can customize the light transmission anywhere from 0% (opaque) up to 100% (full glass), depending on your shading and daylight requirements.
Is ISSOL® Square suitable for overhead glazing?
Absolutely. It is manufactured as laminated safety glass (complying with EN 12600 and EN 14449) and can be engineered to withstand snow and wind loads typical for roofs and canopies.
What is the advantage of bifacial cells?
Bifacial cells capture light from both the front and the back. In applications like canopies or balustrades, this allows the module to harvest reflected light (albedo) from the ground or building, increasing total energy yield by up to 20%.
