Skylights & Overhead Glass
Bring light in, keep heat out. Active glass roofs and canopies that combine solar generation with shading and thermal comfort.
View SolutionLight, Shade & Energy
Atriums and glass roofs often suffer from overheating, requiring energy-intensive cooling. ISSOL® turns this challenge into an opportunity.
By integrating photovoltaic cells directly into overhead glazing, we create active shading devices. Our BIPV modules regulate light transmission, reduce solar heat gain (g-value), and generate clean electricity—all while maintaining the aesthetic purity of a glass roof.
- Natural Light: Adjustable transparency from 0% to 100%.
- Thermal Comfort: Acts as an integrated Brise-Soleil.
- Overhead Safety: Laminated safety glass (EN 12600 / EN 14449).
Overhead Applications
From internal climate control to external weather protection.
Atriums & Skylights
Internal glass roofs where light management is critical. ISSOL® Square modules filter sunlight, reducing glare and cooling loads for offices, malls, and public buildings.
Solar Canopies
External structures such as entrance canopies, ombrières, and walkways. These bifacial-ready systems capture light from above and reflection from below.
Shading Louvres
Horizontal or angled glass louvres (brise-soleil) that project from the building to provide active shading.
The Overhead Standard
Transparent glazing engineered for performance.
ISSOL® Square
The definitive solution for skylights and canopies. Monocrystalline cells are arranged in a uniform grid, allowing architects to precisely dial in the transparency level needed for the project.
- Power Output ~150 Wp/m²
- Transparency 0% – 100%
- Technology Bifacial Option Available
- Safety Laminated Glass-Glass
