Elegance without Reflection

Standard glass façades can create unwanted glare in dense urban environments. ISSOL® Noctis Velvet solves this.

Using a specialized satin-finished glass, we achieve a deep matte black appearance that diffuses light. It provides the same high energy performance as standard Noctis but with a sophisticated, non-reflective finish favoured by city planners and heritage committees.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the matte finish reduce energy output?
Slightly. The texturing of the glass causes a minor diffusion of light, resulting in a yield of ~170 Wp/m² compared to ~180 Wp/m² for the standard glossy Noctis. However, the aesthetic and anti-glare benefits often outweigh this small difference.
Is Noctis Velvet harder to clean?
No. The satin finish is designed to be self-cleaning with rainwater, similar to standard float glass. It does not trap dirt and requires standard façade maintenance schedules.
Can it be used for spandrel panels?
Yes, it is the ideal application. Noctis Velvet is fully opaque and hides insulation or structural elements behind the glass, creating a seamless look with vision glass areas.
